Applicants are hereby invited to apply for the position of Business Analyst (Non-Management Grade 6) within our Digital and Electronic Services Unit.

POSITION OBJECTIVE
The incumbent will be responsible for accessing the financial feasibility of Digital Business Solutions and design for the Group's Issuing and Acquiring Business and the spearheading in the revision of existing solutions for incorporation into the Unit's product business lines. The analyst will work with stakeholders from all business units and related third parties to gather and record user requirements for new and existing technology initiatives, as well as changes to processes and systems. They will closely work with the project team to ensure user requirements are understood before and during the development phase.
They will also be responsible for engaging with project managers, system owners and business users to ensure processes are defined and documented. Where appropriate, these documented processes will be used by the development team to build and deliver solutions so the business analyst will have the ability to turn business requirements into technical processes. Functionality and process testing may be required in this role, with the business analyst responsible for compiling test scripts and conducting testing where appropriate.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Completes special projects and any other delegated activities as assigned by the Manager Digital Payments and Manager Digital Business Solutions. Please note this role can act in a rotational basis between the Digital Business Solutions management team
- Assist in the preparation of business cases
- Plan, coordinate and executes user training and messaging as part of project execution for end users, support staff and project team members
- Collaborate with the ICT Innovation & Development teams, ensuring the alignment of the new business solution and design to the Group's ICT and Meta-strategies and assessing the impact on the Electronic
- Liaise with vendors on items that require escalation
- Take necessary action to ensure there are no deviations in scope
- Evaluate the six (6) months performance of business solutions implemented against documented business plans identifying whether key metrics were achieved against set objectives
- Translate business requirements into detailed system requirements and technical design specifications
- Conduct analysis on what issues may exist with the solution that may lead to a slow uptake of same
- Develop and review procedures for the introduction of new or upgraded Digital Solutions and ensure required amendments to existing processes are completed , reviewed and submitted
- Conduct initial planning discussions with various team members both internal and external
- Ensure vendor(s) have full clarity on all First Citizens business requirements as outlined in the business case
- Maintains documents to ensure appropriate record keeping for implementation of all electronic solutions and designs
- Identifying and variances and escalating to the Manager Digital Payments
- Assess the new electronic/digital solution and design and determine the relevance and impact to the First Citizens Group
- Monitors and reports on their progress, performance and quality against plan
- Develop UAT test plans for projects in consultation with all internal and external project stakeholders for completeness, accuracy and relevance to business scope
- Manages and controls business requirements and status throughout the project
- Responsible for capturing, analyzing and documenting business requirements and supporting the communication and finalization of requirements with relevant stakeholders
- Report to Manager Digital Payments and Manager Digital Business Solutions on any business trend variances and subsequent deviation from projected budgets and scope and misalignment from documented business requirements
- Provide periodic (weekly/monthly/quarterly) reports on projects' status to the Manager Digital Payments
- Ensure that major compliance and regulatory requirements for the implementation of the electronic solution is effectively incorporated within new projects for avoidance of significant operation risk to the Group
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- An Associate Degree in Business Management or IT related field from an accredited University
- A minimum of five (5) years' working experience of which three (3) years must be applicable or relevant to the role within the Electronic Banking environment
- At least one (1) year functioning at the supervisory level.
- Knowledge of all VISA/MasterCard products, services policies and procedures; Domestic Interchange Agreement and International Operating Regulations
- Knowledge of PROFILE (Integrated Banking System)
- Knowledge of Electronic Banking Systems
- Must have an understanding of data systems and system architecture, with a willingness to develop an understanding in this area
- Must possess supervisory skills
- Ability to demonstrate expertise in building and leveraging relationships
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers with a high level of professionalism
