JOB SUMMARY
The incumbent will be responsible for providing credit solutions, financial information and account opening for retail customers in the achievement of their financial goals and performing post-loan administration. He/She will serve the digital channel clients from a sales perspective, and will also be responsible for generating new business and achievement of assigned targets through actively marketing the Group’s products and services.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Markets and cross-sells the Group’s products and services and creates new business opportunities by conducting introductory interviews and group presentations for individuals and businesses at various locations to achieve assigned targets and to ensure that their financial needs are satisfied while developing and maintaining relationships to increase market share as required
- Cross-sells Wealth Management and electronic services (facilitating a warm handover to First Citizens Investment Services and the Digital and Electronic Services Unit)
- Conducts lending interviews and performs post loan administrative services to retail customers for personal loans and credit facilities
- Liaises with customers to assist in regularization of delinquent accounts, where applicable
- Performs annual credit reviews on accounts for approval on a timely basis as necessary
- Inputs data and submits confidential credit reports for the attention of Banks and other financial institutions upon request
- Opens accounts and performs related sales and service functions for retail customers
- Performs non-cash Teller Posting and File Maintenance functions
- Assists with the review of the overdrawn DDA accounts and liaises with customers to ensure regularization as required
- Supports the Service Supervisor as may be required in performing the role of branch lock-up officer, Express Service Associate lock-up officer and joint custodian for vault combinations, Credit Cards/Pins, as required
- Assists in the preparation of Branch monthly reports and campaign reports as required
- Responds to customers’ requests, enquiries, incoming and outgoing calls, both local and foreign, in a courteous and timely manner consistent with operating standards and escalation to the Supervisor/Manager where necessary
- Completes special projects and other related activities as assigned by the Supervisor/Manager
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Diploma or any equivalent qualification from an accredited institution (e.g., IBAF Qualifications: Certificate Level or Cert. FA Certificate) with a minimum of four (4) years' relevant experience of which two (2) years’ experience must be in a Sales or Service Retail Banking environment. Total experience must include one (1) year in a supervisory capacity (cumulative is acceptable)
