JOB SUMMARY
The incumbent will be responsible for growing the customer base for high net worth and corporate clients, acquiring and maintaining clients, providing sales and relationship management as well as sourcing Clients for the Company.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sources new individual clients - contacts and goes out to meet with prospects with a view to increasing Assets Under Management; actively promotes /cross-sells the company’s products and services
- Manages and solidifies client relationships through a distinctive experience that leverages the unique value proposition of the Wealth Management Group's business
- Develops client target lists and monitors Wealth Officers' sales and advisory activity
- Maintains knowledge of the competitive landscape and effectively communicates the value of Investment Services’ Wealth Management offerings and how it fit into each client's financial strategy and life planning goals
- Advises and recommends individual clients on short-term and long-term portfolio strategies, based on consultation with Pensions and Private Portfolio, to clients based on prevailing market conditions and long-term market outlook to maximize risk-adjusted returns
- Actively contributes to the development of sales strategies for the Company’s private client business lines
- Develops and manages strategic partnerships with center of influence to assist in building referral opportunities
- Conducts comprehensive reviews to analyze financial data and provides recommendations for modifications based on client's risk tolerance, goals, objectives and individual preferences. Provides comprehensive financial planning and consultations
- Manages the process to ensure that personal client records and transaction records/files are maintained in accordance with standard
- Creates and delivers sales presentations to clients, cold calls and client meetings
- Manages human resources necessary for the efficient and professional operation of the company
- Guides directs, and provides oversight for Staff on work activities, projects and programmes of the Subsidiary
- Manages Country risk exposure and adopts and maintains measures to mitigate and reduce risk
- Performs all other duties, assignments and special projects as assigned by the Senior Management relative to the Function
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Management, Economics or related field from a reputable University and five (5) years of progressive experience in financial services at least two (2) of which must be at the managerial level OR
- Executive Diploma and seven (7) years of progressive experience in financial services at least five (5) of which must be at the managerial level OR
- GMDP Certificate and ten (10) years of progressive experience in financial services at least seven (7) of which must be at the managerial level
- Proven track record in generating sales and managing relationships with high-net-worth clients
- Corporate planning and development skill
- Knowledge in investment management including understanding of asset structures, analytical techniques, principles and practices of portfolio management, regulatory environment, Pension and Mutual Fund legislation
- Working knowledge and understanding of the economic and general business environment and the banking and financial services industry
- Working knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements both locally and regionally
