JOB SUMMARY
The incumbent will be responsible for providing guidance and training on physical and electronic security matters, conducting security surveillance, and ensuring protection for the Group's personnel, operations, and property. He/she will also be responsible for providing field support to the Manager - Protective Services, which includes liaising with the Group's Security Officers and Protection Officers.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conducts scheduled site visits at Branches/Units (including 24-hour locations) to perform the following:
- Conducts investigations in the event of physical security breaches such as robbery, vandalism, break-ins (both attempted and successful), fire, etc., and prepares a report with recommendations for onward submission to the Manager and for further investigation by the relevant authorities where necessary
- Provides assistance to the Security Services Unit’s (SSU) investigative team in the conduct of investigations (such as gathering information, etc.) and may be required to submit a report with relevant findings and recommendations to the Manager - Protective Services
- Conducts security assessments at locations (including Branches/Units/Subsidiaries) in relation to the under-mentioned and prepares a report for onward submission to the Manager - Protective Services:
- Group-sponsored functions
- Executive management attendance at events/functions
- Residence of a member of the Senior and Executive Management when necessary
- Proposed opening of a Branch/Unit
- Periodic visits of Branches/Units as guided by a security checklist (containing health, safety, environment, mechanical, and other related issues)
- Develops and conducts training programs on safety and emergency response procedures for staff
- Develops security standards, procedures, and protocols, training staff and Security personnel (in-house and contracted) accordingly
- Responsible for the personal protection of the Group’s Executives using the Protection Officers
- Fills in as a Protection/Security Officer at locations as required
- Arranges for the provision of security to facilitate maintenance work on any of the Group’s locations as required
- Completes special projects and other delegated activities assigned by Management
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Candidates Five (5) GCE O’ Levels A or B and C or CXC O’ Levels (General Proficiency) I, II or III passes, including Mathematics and English Language, which must be at grade I or II or level A or B, not more than two (2) of the other subjects should be at grade III level
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in the security industry, including two (2) years of experience at a Supervisory level
- Certification in Security Management
- Certification of Precept and Competence in the Use of a Firearm
- Arrest and Control/One-on-One Control Tactics
- Defensive driving skills
- Knowledge of the relevant security laws, as well as mental and physical fitness/awareness
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Valid T&T Driver’s Permit License with at least three (3) years of driving experience and no prior traffic conviction
- A valid passport and the ability to travel overseas as required
- Ability to work outside of the normal working hours, including weekends and Public Holidays
