JOB SUMMARY
The incumbent will be responsible for monitoring, investigating potential money laundering, and terrorist financing activity with First Citizens Bank as well as the management and prevention of these activities through the review of trends and the enforcement of the Bank's Anti-Money Laundering/Combating the Financing of Terrorism Compliance Programme.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Reviews and recommends all threshold lists to ensure that such limits are justified and meet the Bank's approved criteria

Investigates and assesses alerts generated by the internal transaction monitoring software and all unusual/suspicious activity referred by the Branches/Units for potential money laundering and terrorist financing activity

Maintains records of all correspondence to and from the FIU in accordance with the Financial Obligations Regulations (FOR)

Reviews and analyses information and documents received from various sources (Branches/Units)

Prepares, co-ordinates and conducts training to increase the awareness of money laundering and financing of terrorism issues as required by the Financial Obligations Regulations and other relevant legislations

Conducts Compliance Reviews and Internal Self-Assessments for the Bank to ensure its full compliance with the FORs

Prepares Suspicious Activity Reports on potential/suspected money laundering activities for onward transmission to the Financial Intelligence Unit of Trinidad and Tobago (FIU)

Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual reports for internal and external stakeholders such as the Bank's Board of Directors, the Group Oversight Committee, CBTT, FIU, and Integrity Commission

Monitors financial transactions across the network for trends/patterns and suspicious activities using applicable software

Acts as subject matter expert to Branches/Units by providing guidance regarding compliance with AML laws, regulations and policies

Analyses data received from all the Subsidiaries for the Production of Information and prepares detailed correspondence to various regulatory bodies, including the FIU, the Integrity Commission and the Board of Inland Revenue, on behalf of the Group

Stays current with money laundering and terrorist financing developments, issues, policies, regulations, criminal typologies and industry best practices

Reviews and proposes updates based on legislative changes to the Bank's Anti-Money Laundering Counter Terrorist Financing (AML/CFT) policies and procedures to ensure compliance

Engages in the marketing of the Group’s products and services

Completes special projects and other related activities as assigned by the Manager

Responds to customers’ requests, enquiries, incoming and outgoing calls, both local and foreign, in a courteous and timely manner consistent with operating standards and escalation to the Manager
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Candidates must possess a Degree in Business business-related field

Candidates must also possess a minimum of three (3) years in a Banking Operations/ Audit/ Legal or relevant business environment
