JOB SUMMARY
The incumbent will be responsible for supporting and pursuing business by providing financial solutions to local & regional Financial Institutions ii, and local & regional corporate groups, while building long-lasting partnerships with Multilateral and Global Banks.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implements with Guidance of the Head — CIBU, LATAM, general policies related to the Group's Business Strategy established by the Group, as well as the Corporate Banking Unit.
- Assists the Head — CIBU, ŁATAM in the execution and administration of general policies established by the Group
- Reports to and advises the Head — CIBU, LATAM on matters from the business that are related to the achievement of the Company's Mission as required
- Reports on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis to the Head - CIBU, LATAM, and General Manager of Corporate & Investment Banking
- Ensures the deployment of Corporate Banking’s long-range and annual (business) plans
- Contributes to the growth of the Corporate Banking Business in Central and South America, which has a substantial contribution to First Citizens Bank's profitability
- Originates, evaluates, and analyses available loan opportunities
- Co-Develops and maintains long-lasting relationships with International Global Banks and Top Executives of Regional companies that have presence in the region
- Submits accurate business and comprehensive credit proposals to the Executives, BCC, and Board of Directors for approval
- Assists Head — CIBU, LATAM, exploring new markets and jurisdictions to develop Business.
- Performs all other duties, assignments and special projects as assigned by the Board of Directors and Executive Management relative to the Function
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in a Business related field from a reputable University or other professional qualification from a recognized professional body eg. CFA, CIMA, ACCA, CGA, CPA and five (5) years progressive experience in a credit and/or risk environment at least two (2) years of which must be at the Managerial level OR
- Executive Diploma/Diploma and seven (7) years progressive experience in a credit and/or risk environment, at least five (5) of which must be at the Managerial Level OR
- GMDP Certificate and ten (10) years progressive experience in a credit and/or risk environment,t at least seven (7) of which must be at a managerial level
- Experience in Credit Risk Management, Portfolio Management and Delinquency Management
- Experience in the field of Corporate or Commercial Lending will be an asset
- Knowledge of Investment Management
- Working knowledge of credit structuring, budget and financial management, Banking Law and Regulation Legislation, understanding og the economic and general business environment and PSIP and its operations
- Strong leadership, public speaking, communication and negotiation skills
